God’s metric for success
Exhale
is faithfulness to Him and His people
Lord of all faithfulness,
There are so many moments,
where I want to look at numbers and tallies
to define my worth and value as a leader.
Where I want to look at what my neighbor
is doing over the fence.
To look with envious eyes and a haughty heart.
But may my eyes and my heart mimic the Good Shepherd.
Who only counts, when leaving the 99 to find the 1.
Who is always faithful to show up for the least and vulnerable
and needy.
Who is always ready to be there for His flock.
Amen.
