of the maker of the heavens and the earth

“Lord, when things don’t go my way,
may it be a reminder that You slowly etch away at my desire to be in control.
To have things go in a way that suit me,
sometimes at the expense of another.
Instead, may my life be the other way around.
To walk in Your Way, where others gain,
at a cost to me.
To give away my life, out of a love for another,
because I have tasted and seen Your love for me.”
