On embracing our emotions

Inhale

God has emotions

Exhale

And I am made in His likeness

---

Holy Spirit,

The helper, the advocate, the comforter.
Guide me when I find myself
on the peaks of mountaintops
and in the lowest of valleys.
For in either place, and everywhere in-between,
the mind of my heart takes me captive.
But you, the creator of my inner-self,
knows me better than I.
Guide me. Instruct me. Teach me.
On how to grasp the joys, the sorrows
the grief, and the rage that lives within me.
