A Meditation For The Week
On giving our allegiance to the King of Kings
“On his robe and on his thigh he has this name written: king of kings and lord of lords.”
Revelation 19:16
Inhale
I give my allegiance
Exhale
to the King of Kings, Jesus Christ
King Jesus,
You reign on your throne forever and ever.
You are the perfect king.
Mercy and justice flow out of your heart.
You see the widow, the orphan, the needy, and the marginalized.
And you care for them.
The knees of the unjust will one day bend before you.
Because you are the perfect king.
Amen.
Just wanted to drop in and thank you again for this one. I've spent the last week, in written and spoken prayers, praying to King Jesus. I can't express the power that it brought. It was a posture shift and a significant reminder of who I am reaching out to and inviting into my life and community. At different times throughout the week I experienced miraculous healing, patience, and rest (against all odds with puking kids and little sleep).
Wow.
